A group of students take notes on clipboards.

During the past year, we saw a decrease in engagement across the state and in each of the state contests. We are going to try to increase participation not only by creating new contests to be hosted in different parts of the state but also by creating a new award to recognize the youth that is dedicated to this contest and put in the time and effort to come and participate in these events.
This award will recognize the top three individuals in each age division with the top
Individuals being named the Supreme Skillathon Champion at the 2024 North Carolina Cattlemen’s Conference in Hickory. The top three individuals will receive prizes for their efforts. This circuit will include a total of 7 recognized contests. Contestants will be allowed two drop scores. If for some reason one of these contests has to be canceled, we will still allow two
drop scores.
